Whisker is a cat breed app made by Kimama Apps. This page explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, email support@kimama.app.

What we collect

The AI we use

Whisker needs AI to name breeds and answer questions. With your permission, your photos and questions go to a third-party AI service. The app asks before the first time, and you can change your mind in Settings under Share with AI. Scanning and Ask AI can't work while it's off.

We use the service with zero data retention turned on. That means the companies running the AI don't keep what you send after they answer, and don't use it to train AI, except where the law requires it.

Who else sees your data

We don't sell your data, and Whisker has no ads. Besides the AI service, we use companies that provide our cloud hosting and storage, our analytics and crash reports, and our subscription management. They handle data for us so the app can work. We may also share data if the law requires it.

These companies may store data on servers outside your country, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

Your scans and chats stay in your account until you delete them or your account. Saved photos stay while you have Premium. When Premium ends, they stay for 30 more days, and then we delete them, along with the small photos in your chats. Your scans and chats stay. Analytics and crash records are kept by our providers for a limited time. Technical server logs can stay for about 30 days.

Your choices

Children

Whisker isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has used it, email us and we'll delete their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
